Cinnamon and Sugar Popcorn

 Hello and happy Tuesday! I hope all of you are well and having a great week so far. My week has been ok so far and today I made popcorn and added some Cinnamon and Sugar to the popcorn.


You are probably wondering why I am talking about this. Since the first of the year, I have been working on my health and wellness journey. I started working out and logging food and losing some weight, my mental health had a great boost and I was happy.

I don't work out as often but I look for new foods or recipes and try new things. An online friend suggested popcorn because I had said I wanted junk food and popcorn is lower in calories when it is plain. 

You can add seasoning to the popcorn and give it some flavor so, I looked online and found a few ways to dress up popcorn. I don't mind plain popcorn but it would need some flavor.

Today I made a small batch of popcorn, I have a popcorn container from the Pampered chef that you can use in the microwave to pop the popcorn, used a small amount of olive oil, and put the microwave on for 4 minutes.

After the popcorn was done, I took it out of the microwave and added cinnamon and sugar while tossing (shaking) it up. I only used 2 teaspoonfuls of cinnamon and sugar.

This was a great item to buy and I love using it! You can wash it and reuse it again.

Some Knitting and Cleaning Today

Good morning to all you beautiful people!! Happy Friday or Saturday! 

I’m doing a little cleaning before I go back to sleep, I work a short morning shift and I’m still tired.

Things are good and life is good. I have been posting recipes on my other blog, made a few of them, and have been knitting. 

Going to start another pattern today for knitting and will only keep it to 2 projects for now. Sometimes I like to start more and I don’t want to do that.

Also need to use up my yarn stash before buying any more yarn.

I don’t think there is anything else to share with you folks, I think I covered everything.

Now I need to clean out my smart garden (grows salad greens and basil) then a short nap and do some knitting.

Dishes Done! Now to Knit!

 Hello to everyone! I hope all of you are well today and I hope that the week is going well fr you.

I just did some dishes,  not all of them are done but let the ones I did wash, dry. I also made ramen noodles for my lunch for tomorrow.


I have been looking at meal prep videos to get some inspiration and I have been using bento boxes for my lunches while I am home during the day. I love bento boxes!!!

Tomorrow I will have ramen noodles in chicken broth, thin-sliced pork chops, and need to figure out a vegetable and maybe a small snack. The ramen noodles I got from the grocery store were in the Asian aisle and it was a miso soup with ramen noodles.

I am not a fan of miso soup and yes I have tried it, just don't like it. I like the noodles and cooked those instead. Just need to cook the pork chops tomorrow and figure out the vegetable and make black bean corn salsa salad.

Grocery day is Thursday and I am sticking to a budget when going, I did add apples but I may go apple picking this weekend after giving blood. Don't worry, I will load up on snacks and plenty of water.

Cortlands are almost ready and they are my favourite apple and I would love some apples with almond butter.


Now that I have ranted on long enough, I need to find something to watch and work on my knitting project.
