Part 2 of my trip, finally! I know right? You must be thinking it's about time.
So I left off with my day of shopping and flying out plus unpacking in my room in the 13th floor.
I was very happy to see everyone from the previous year and I met new people too. That was a lot of fun to meet new people.
So on the first night of the MBLU we all met and learned more about Pets for Vets which is a great cause.
After all the speeches, stuff was given out and we played Cards Against Humanity which was soooo fun. I also met 3 new people and I decided that I would sit at a table with people I didn't know.
I met new authors and readers. We had so much fun playing Cards Against Humanity and snacks were provided so we had candy, Sosa, wine and beer available.
That was a fun night and there were prizes for everyone there. I got a lot of prizes but did give up a few so other people could get prizes.
After I retired to my room to relax and get to bed early. Being in Minnesota I was an hour behind everyone else at home. Also getting little sleep the night before and flying did make me tired.
The next day, there was panels and we also had a Lip Sync battle between cover models and authors. It was fun to watch and fun.
Panels were great and just being able to walk in the mall was a lot of fun. Mall ofAmerica is fun and sometimes you need to take a walk so I did that and I also got food at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Friday night was the formal dinner and the DJ dance and Live Photo booth. I wore my purple 50's style dress which I love and got a petticoat for too.
Dinner was very good, it was a played meal and very tasty. Dessert was yummy.
After dinner I went to change into my other dress, yes I did two dress changes in one day. It was fun to dress up.
I changed into my purple dress, yes another purple dress. I accidentally One clicked this dress on Amazon. But it looked awesome!
So I changed, got a longer petticoat underneath and managed to lace the back til I could find someone to help. I wore the same shoes from dinner and put my cape on and went downstairs.
I got someone to help with the back of my dress and I went to the dance. I saw everyone then decided to go get my photo taken with the cover models.
As I was walking to the photo booth I spotted another female who had the same dress as me. As I got closer I noticed it was the same style but different color. Lol, we decided to get our photo taken because we were "twins". We got our photo taken with all 3 cover models and then the two of us.
Her name is Tara and she was very nice and fun to talk too. I bought her book at the signing. I loved her book too, fast but very adventurous.
So Saturday was more panels and a dinner that was sponsored by a author and the event coordinator. It was great and after we had book bingo.
Book bingo was a lot of fun and of course there were prizes. There was also a release party for Michele Shriver's new book at the event which was fun.
Sadly I had to leave Sunday very early for the airport but I had a lot of fun. I would go back again too next year.
This event is great for book lovers and if you want to meet new people and discover new authors. I'm already looking forward to next year for MBLU.
So for the next part of this post I will do a separate post.
