I have been working a lot which is good and it’s my day off today. I went and did some errands and I went out for a walk today with new Under Armour sneakers which gave me blisters on my heels. One heel had a big one while the other heel had a small one.
That’s the big blister I popped.
So for other news I’m going to try and achieve 100,000 steps in one day. I don’t think I will get it but I’m going to try. I’m friends with a female on Fitbit and she decided to get a lot of people involved and we all try to reach it.
For now it’s training time which I’m definitely out of shape and practice. I did a lot of 5ks in he spring which was great but now there are not many going on where I live.
So today I went for a walk and had a goal to walk 5,000 steps. Well I walked for almost a half hour which is great and I pushed myself but I didn’t do 5,000 steps. I did less than 3,000 but walked 1.5 miles.
Walking 1.5 miles in 30 minutes is really good for me and it’s about where I’m at when I do 5k races so it’s good.
After getting home and showering, I noticed the blisters. Not fun but my heels will be ok. I took a nap and my legs are sore but I’m going to train and hopefully get 20,000 steps when everyone else is trying to achieve the 100,000 steps in October.
I’m not sure what day in October but it’s fun and we can cheer each other on. Even if I don’t reach the step goal, I’m happy with what I’m doing plus I’m exercising too.
Once my niece starts school again I can get outside for walks before going to my second job. It’s hard when I work a lot plus have to watch my niece 98% of the time. I love her and it’s great but I sit a lot so I need to workout.
Well that is all I have for now, just relaxing and drinking lots of water.
