Prepping Meals and Working Out

From today until next week (when I weigh myself) I am going to track everything I eat and try to meal prep lunch. This may not go well but I am willing to try and I want to eat better even on a budget, also we need to use up what we have in the freezer.


Today has gone well so far, I didn't eat a whole English muffin just half, half a cheddar cheese slice, and one egg. Eating the correct portion size will not be easy but I am going to give it a try.  I also did some exercise for about 15 minutes when I usually do none.


I have to give credit to the apps I have and one of those is called 99Walks. You can track your walk and if you crush your goal, you get a bracelet. It does cost money every month but it's a great app.


They have classes and I tried one today called, "crushing today". It was a 15-minute class and I loved it. I am going to try and get outside for walks too and walk inside while watching youtube videos. Yes, youtube has videos on walking and it's a great way to stay in shape.


You can track your walk with GPS or manually put in your walks so that is my plan for this month. The plan for the week is to eat portion sizes, eat a little healthier, and track food. It will not be easy but worth a challenge. 


If you are curious what app I use to track the food I use Fitbit and MyFitnessPal app. I have friends on both and yes I wear a Fitbit.


I Will update either next week about my progress or will update sooner on how I am doing with tracking food and walking.

What It's Been Like Lately

 Here I am again and life has been throwing me some curveballs lately. I'm not happy and not sure what is triggering the sadness.  I am taking my thyroid medicine so it shouldn't be that and I am not sure what is going on these days.


I was going to do a game day stream but decided not to for my own reasons. In the future, I will do a game stream just not this year. 

The holiday was ok but my grandfather made way too much food and I am not a fan of squash. We have a lot of turkeys leftover so hopefully, some will get frozen and I'll try to have eaten some of the leftovers but I am sick of turkey.

This week I am going to make some goals and hopefully reach them even if they are small goals, need to start somewhere. Also, I need to really save up and that means more budgeting which sucks but I have to and not buy yarn or things I don't need.

It's tough being on a budget but I have to until I can get another job. I also don't need more yarn because I have so much and need to finish the projects I have going. 

With all the deals that are going on, I really want more yarn but don't have the money to get any which is fine. My grandfather got a new tv and it makes me want to get one but I am okay with waiting. The tv that I have now works great and I have had it for 6-7 years. I would only upgrade because having a smart tv is great and I can get my apple tv, Netflix, and Hulu on it. I like to stream.

So with everything going on, I still stream my knitting, have not updated my shop and I'm unhappy. I do debate if I should stop streaming altogether on twitch but part of me likes to get on and stream. I only do 2 days a week which isn't bad. For now, nothing is concrete except for the time off I plan to take from December 20th to January 4th so I get a break.


Other than that, not much is new and I have been doing ok. The car is going in soon for inspection then I need to plan on registering my car. 

I think that is all I wanted to say, for now, did a load of laundry, folded laundry, and need to put laundry in the dryer, and I did some of the dishes. Today has been productive.

Boxing Workout

 Hello! It feels longer than about 2 weeks since my last post but today is Sunday, the sun is out and I feel good. 


I am still tired but I did about 30 minutes of boxing on my Nintendo Switch (it's a demo) but I love workout games. I am not very good at boxing but it's a workout and I need to work out. Planning a gaming stream and Just Dance is on the list so I want to be in shape.

I may do smaller workouts every other day and stick with boxing, Ring Fit, and dancing on other days. Lol, I have Zumba too which I have not done in a while.

Everything else is going well, for now, I am home every day and do try to get outside even for 15 minutes (walking). The weather may be cold but it's good to get outside. I hit my goal to walk 8 miles this month which is great! Now to figure out a goal for next month, hmmm.....

Also trying to drink more water too, made a shopping list for the grocery store next week, and letting devices charge right now. I get paid early this coming week which is nice, that is why I started a list for the grocery store and I go in, get what I need, and get out.


Everyone will be shopping this week, it's Thanksgiving and the store will be packed most likely. Most bills are paid, bought a game for my game stream, and just trying to relax and do some knitting. 

Not much else is going on, need to put some money aside for game day food incase we order out. I am using a friend's computer to stream the games from and plan to do about 4 hours of games.  Hope to get some donations too since I will be gaming for charity.

Will see how Game day will go, everything else is good and I am ready for a nap right now. This could be because I did boxing today, lol. Now to plan the rest of my week for working out and which days and what I want to do.

I am going to relax, watch some Netflix and do some knitting today.

Rain!

It’s raining right now in my town and I was not expecting any rain tonight. It’s almost 10:15pm and we are getting heavy rain from a system moving through and will be heavy at times.

I’m waiting to do my mouthwash before I go to bed and have the tv on Disney+ which I love and love that it also has National Geographic.

Not much is new this week or since my last post. I am just relaxing, did some knitting and bought more yarn. I had received a gift card to JoAnn’s so I bought yarn with it. 

I didn’t get a lot but did buy a Caron One Pound and 2 smaller colorful yarns.

I have many projects in progress so trying to work on them little by little. It’s oils be nice to finish one project before the end of December (that will be a goal)

It’s fun to make goals and reaching them. 

Okay I need to finish my nighttime routine and go to bed.

Hello November

Hello everyone! I have not updated in awhile but things are good. I have been struggling a bit with mental health issues and trying different ways to cope and be more active.

I have been getting out for walks even if they are short ones. I want to talk about an app I use for my walks. The app I use is called 99 walks.



You pay a monthly membership which is about $20 (unless it went up recently) and if you reach your goal, they ship a bracket to you.

I think it’s a great incentive and I do have one bracelet for October. It’s great because you can get a bracket when you reach your goal and it’s an incentive to motivate you to walk. 

You can set any goal, if you want to walk 1 mile then walk 1 mile. If you walk more than make your goal higher.

I have not done any classes but I am closer to reaching my goal this month. Not sure what I will do when winter shows up but you can adjust your goal. You can also walk on the treadmill too and you can put your walks in manually too if you don’t have the app.

It’s worth checking out if you want to get out for walks and be more active, start small and work your way up to a higher goal.

Where I Have Been

Wow! It has been weeks since my last post and it’s almost the end of September! Crazy to think the month has flown by.

I have been knitting, binge watching shows and did some more knitting. I plan to open an Etsy shop by October 3rd and I have 2 items ready and working on a 3rd item, there are no expectations for the shop either. If I sell an item great, if I don’t it’s ok too. I have wanted to try with Etsy for a long time.

So if you have been wondering where I have been besides home and working home healthcare, I have not done much. On September 19th, my cousin got marrired and here is a pic of me before the wedding.



I put makeup on, dressed nicely and did nothing with my hair. It was a fun day.

Also this past weekend I went apple picking! Finally made it up to the orchard which was crowded but picked apples and walked around the orchard.

This past weekend was the virtual walk/run for St. Jude too and I did that. 

This is everything I have been up to this month, October is coming and that means it’s Halloween month!! I’m just excited.

Finding New Loves

This post is about finding new loves and I don’t mean men. I enjoy history and when shows/movies stick to the truth that has been written down, it’s much more enjoyable. 

Some parts of history can be tough to swallow but nonetheless it’s history.

If you are wondering why I’m writing about this, it’s because I have been watching Outlander. Never read the books but season 1-3 is on Netflix and I love it! 

I love how beautiful Scotland is, the beautiful lands and mountains plus men in kilts is very sexy. I like men in kilts and the Scottish accent. 

Outlander sheds light on history in Scotland in the 17th century plus has a love story in it too. The show is a bit graphic but sticks to the truth and what happens, a woman’s place is to be modest and not talk back.

I would be a spitfire of a woman, I would tell anyone what I think no matter if they want my opinion or not. 

Anyways, I find it interesting about history, the clans and Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. I need sleep so I had to stop watching for tonight. I will have to look into the book as, have any of you read the books or would like to share any Scottish history?

Beautiful Friday


Hello and happy Friday!!!! 

Today the sun is out and the weather is beautiful! I went for a walk today which is rare but it was nice to get out of the house. I walked for about 30 minutes so that way I could get my workout in today.  

Also, I had a craving for a hamburger yesterday (not sure why), and today, I ordered off the Five Guys app and picked up my burger and fries. Its great that you can order on apps and then pick up your food or have it delivered (depends on where you order from).


This is not the Five Guys in my town but it's similar and I love the burgers! So got my fix in for now and going to cut back next week on expenses.


In other news, panel 3 of the baby blanket is almost done! I made a goal to knit 10 inches this week which has been exceeded but it's almost done! The goal is to get this blanket done by next week Friday and give it to my friends. I also need to order a yarn next week to work on a Cardinia wrap.


So things are good in the world (for now) plan to open my Etsy shop by October 5th of this year so next month will be lots of knitting. Hoping to get 5-10 items up in the shop. It will range from dishcloths to scarves and hopefully a baby blanket and maybe lap blankets. For now, will try to keep it to 10 items and see how it goes.

It may go great at first and it may not which is ok, I want to try for a year on Etsy and see how it goes.

That is all my news, for now, just relaxing and then going downstairs and doing more knitting.

Time for an Update

 Hello out there! Hope everyone is well and not sick. 


I have not updated in a while which is not a bad thing. Things are still the same here, still working from home and still knitting. I am on panel 3 of a baby blanket and just want to get it done soon! Anyways not much is new with me.

Things are good and just binge watching shows, finally watched all of the Jurassic Park movies in the correct order.  Waiting for Lucifer season 5 to come out on Netflix, have listened to hockey online which I miss a lot.


I think that is all, if I think of anything else I will start a draft on my phone and write it up, post when I'm ready.

Happy Friday and the Weekend is Here!!!!!

 Hello, all you beautiful people!!!  I have not made a post on here for over a week, I guess there was not much to say last week. 


It's Friday and the weekend is here! I am excited because my big sister is getting married this Saturday!!! 9weather depending) It's a virtual wedding via zoom which is a good idea, so I will be watching and getting dressed up which is rare for me, plus makeup is rare too. It will be fun and yes I will be having an adult beverage too.


My sister and her husband will just have their parents for the ceremony and then the recpetion we will still be using zoom but can dance and eat at home.

Not much else is new with me, still budgeting and trying to make sure all bills are paid. I did give in this month and buy yarn well pre-ordered the yarn. I have not bought any more yarn or anything for myself because of budgeting. 


I did go to Kimball Farm with a friend for ice cream and it was good! I need to go again sometime.


Not much else going on, almost done with the second panel of the baby blanket I am working on which is great, then I can start the third panel. Yesterday I would have finished the second panel if I was not so tired but will finsih the second panel today.

After I finish the second panel, I can start the third panel and hopefully get this blanket done soon.

Alright, I need to make sure family is up, workout and then knit :) today will be relaxing and knitting and not doing a whole lot.

Last Week of July and Budgeting

If you are wondering why Last Week of July and Budgeting? It’s because I’m on a budget and it is the last week of the month.

I’m trying to get ahead on bills or at least plan out when to pay them (before the due date). It’s not easy and it sucks but with one job, it is nescarry. I have written out when all bills area due, going to try and pay them in the first two weeks if I can, not sure how it will work out but going to try.

There will still be a budget for food and will not be splurging as much. I have not bought any yarn this month and that is a big accomplishment for me. 

Working out has been going well and I switch it up with RingFit Adventure and dancing. I feel great and now to try and eat food in portions or at least the portions size recommended on the package.



This is goldfish and small cookies portioned out until I go grocery shopping again. The cookies I found at Aldi’s and I like them but they are not the healthiest. 

Hopefully this will help me make snacks last longer and I won’t have to shop as much but will see how it goes.

Okay, my dance workout is done already, had breakfast and tracking my food intake with MyFitnessPal app. 

Also, I’m sharing this because it is my blog and I like updating but even if I help someone then I’m happy with that too. I’m just sharing my journey on being more positive and working out.

Thursday is Relax Day

Hello to everyone!

I had seen an article somewhere online (no I didn't get the link) that said for people to not blog because no one is reading blogs anymore. I am not sure how true that is but I will keep blogging til I want to stop.

Today is Thursday of course and there is good news! On July 20, 2019, I traded in my car and got my 2018 Hyundai Accent and have had that car a whole year! Also, next month will make one year of paying back my car loan which feels great, 4 1/2 more years to go.

So knitting has not really been going on lately and maybe scheduling time for knitting would be good. I can always do trial and error. So I will schedule a time to knit for an hour and see how it goes for a week. If all goes well then it will continue.

I should probably make time to read too and watch shows, I think that is one way to get things done and set a timer so I know when to stop.

Not much else is new with me, I hope everyone who reads this is doing well and healthy. Life is ok right now, still home from the food service job, and don't know what will happen with that. I am thankful for my LNA license so I have a fallback.

Budgeting sucks but have been doing well with it and will continue to budget monthly so bills are paid and save some money. I don't drive a lot and only go out once a week to the grocery store so I don't gas up often.

Monday is Binge Day

Hey everyone! I am binging on Lucifer on Netflix because season 5 is coming next month so I wanted to rewatch the show.

In other news, I’m still doing my Zumba workout, knitting and budgeting wisely. I hate budgeting but it’s necessary right now. 

Last night my grandfathers friend stopped by with sweet corn and summer squash. I’m not a fan of summer squash but corn on the cob is delicious!! 

So I just wanted to post this and I’m going to watch more Lucifer.

Happy Friday!

Hmmm....

It’s Friday and the weekend is coming which is great! I’m in a good mood and trying to figure what I will do today besides a Zumba workout.

I want to knit today and work more on the baby blanket that I started, need to figure what patterns to try and with what yarn and make sure I have enough yarn.

Hopefully I will be productive today, also need to organize and usually I’m not organized. Also I need to see what I have started for knitting projects and finish those as well.

So far this month of “no buying yarn” has gone very well. The month of July I am trying to not buy yarn and use what I have first.

I have been searching for free knitting patterns and download those to my computer.

Life is good, got my glasses yesterday and just enjoying life right now. Oh, I have been trying fasting too. I haven’t been too extreme but just giving it a try and see if I lose weight but I am drinking more water.

Anyways I am going to go do Zumba and then clean and knit and everything else today.

Hello Thursday!

Quick post! Hope everyone is ok good spirits and if not, tomorrow is a new day!

I just had sushi nori Earp with sushi rice and beef. Yes I know beef does not belong in a sushi wrap but the roasted seaweed wrap is healthy for you.

I of course didn’t take a pic but next time I will.

Today I get to go and get my glasses!!! They are ready and I can’t wait!!! Now I will be able to see my tv better.

Happy 4th!


Happy 4th of July!!!!


Today is Independence Day in the United States, I’m relaxing and not doing much. Fireworks, parades are canceled and I’m not sure if you can cookout in your yard or not.


Today has been up and down but right now I feel great! Got my Zumba workout in and did some knitting on stream today.


Also opened up a FairyLoot box that I had, I need to start reading those books. I found 2 FairyLoot boxes so have 2 books to read.


I have fun opening up the boxes on stream and I love doing snack crate too! 


Not much is new, I did finish one panel of a baby blanket and started a second panel so will need to work on that today.


I have not bought any yarn from a site that I love. I am budgeting this month and it sucks but must be done. I did buy more yarn for the baby blanket but nothing else.


I have so much yarn in my room and I need to use it up. 


Now I’m sleepy, lol. I’m going to relax and read and knit today.

HappyFriday!!!


I forgot to post this, lol

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all are well and staying active and hopefully getting outside in this beautiful weather. 

I have not been outside a whole lot but I have been doing dance workouts and trying some workouts on Fitbit too. It’s great since I got the Nintendo Switch because I have Just Dance 2020 and I got Zumba so I can have fun dancing and still get a workout in.

Also, I downloaded a demo of fit boxing on the switch and I love it! Of course, I want to get it but bills are first so boxing will have to wait for now.

I started looking at healthy snack ideas on Pinterest (I barely go on) and found a few recipes of foods I would like to try. I will plan ahead for this and make sure I have enough money aside when I go grocery shopping. 

One thing I can make when I’m home that is healthy is eggs with veggies. I could scramble the egg or get a muffin pan and add vegetables or do ham and cheese in some and bake them in the oven.

Right now I am trying to not use the oven because it’s very warm outside so I may just cook on the stovetop for eggs.

I am using a few apps to track my food intake, it’s not easy but I think I have done very well this week in logging food. I use the MyFitnessPal app and I use Fitbit too. I got a Fitbit long before I got an Apple Watch so now I use both.

Both apps are very close when I log my food and it’s great to see my progress. In the Fitbit app, I track weight since I have a Fitbit scale and it tacks body fat too. I do use an app (once a week) to do measurements and see if I have lost any inches.

Some weeks are better than others but the way I look at this is; I’m logging food and trying to eat better too. Some days I eat horribly and other days are not so bad. 

Working out helps me feel better mentally and I feel great after dancing. Water intake has been going well and I’m trying to drink less soda, drink some juice, and mostly water.

I’m a picky eater but I am going to try and incorporate veggies into my meals more. 

Would you folks like to see my journey or have me write down about my journey? I can and I promise it won’t be every day, I can write maybe 2 times a week if I remember, lol. One post would be about my journey in being better about health and food and working out and another post can be about whatever I want it to be.

I think that would work and I will think of tags to use in case you follow my health journey and this way you can search tags. I will update that in another post.

Please remember I am not an expert and this is my journey, you may like or be interested in some of the foods I talk about but always talk to your doctors! Talks to them before starting any type of diet or exercise so they know!

An Update

Hell, everyone! I am still getting used to this new layout that blogger has when I use my computer) normally I use my phone to post most of the time.

Things are good so far this week, I have been up and down lately but I think a lot of it has to do with being home since I got laid off from one job. I am also not out socializing which sucks but I miss it.

So I am trying to find my knitting mojo and knit more and I have a lot of yarn to use uo too. Also, I do dance workouts and trying a demo of Fit Boxing that Nintendo has. The boxing demo is fun and a great workout then add some dancing in and you can have a lot of fun!

Working out has helped me a lot mentally and I feel great after. It's also a great workout and I drink a lot more water when working out which is good.

Still working one job and having to really budget sucks but is necessary. This month is particularly hard but budgeting is going well so far and I just need to stick to a small budget and save. Next month may be difficult, was invited to a bridal shower so need to get a gift.

Not sure what to get the bride and really not sure if I want to go. I will know only 2 people there who are family but I love the venue so maybe I will go. I have a while to decide soo will think it over for now.

Well, I need to go and knit a baby blanket, the baby shower is this weekend and I am not even finished on this blanket yet so it may be late.

Life is Good

Hello everyone! It finally cooled down where I live which is nice.

Today was a annual check up for my thyroid and levels were a little high but going to re-check the levels in 8 weeks and see if medicine needs to be adjusted.

Going to the doctor is not always fun but it’s good too because I can tell them what is going on.

I have been doing Zumba and I did about a half hour of Just Dance 2020 today and it’s a fun way to workout. I like Zumba more but wanted to do a lighter workout today.

I also want to try my best to eat better too. I’m a big snacker so trying to think of things and what my sugar intake as well.  It’s not easy for me because I love carbs and junk food but I am going to try and see how well it goes.

Not much else going on today but I am relaxing and maybe knitting later. Today seems like a day to just relax for some reason.

Anyways I’m just trying to think of healthy snacks and work on drink more water.  So far water intake is going well today and hope to get more water in soon.

I’m going to go and just relax and then do something. Have a great Wednesday!

Hot Weather is Coming

I forgot to post yesterday but that is okay. Things are good, dancing has helped me a lot and it's great for mental health too, I haven't done my dancing today but will get that in today and may do Just Dance today or Zumba or both.

Doing online school with my niece and then dance time.
Lol, I meant to write more and post this morning but I forgot.

Well since I started this in the morning today, I did Zumba and felt great after, got to do some knitting, and then relax. I think I will take the night off from knitting and just relax. The last 24 hours have been great and I am going to roll with it.

Not much is new, just knitting and streaming, trying to finish up The Originals (a spin-off from The Vampire Diaries) and then start watching Legacies. Its all fantasy stuff and I like the shows.

Not much else to write about, I am battling an eye infection but medicine is helping and see the eye doctor on Friday.

Been working from home which is not bad, dealing with the heat this week and hope everyone stays hydrated if you work outside. With the heat this week, I may not knit as much or I need a fan in front of me to keep me cool.

Depending on the yarn I am working with, I may need a fan next to me. The thicker the yarn, the warmer it will keep you warm so I just need to be careful.

Tomorrow is early morning but that is only because I get up at 6am and go to the bank for the ATM since the lobby is closed and I don't want to wait in line to see the teller att he drive up. That is why I go so early in the morning.

Yes, I do online banking but I do take money out to put aside so that is why I use the ATM.

So with all that said, I am going to relax some more and watch some streamers on Twitch then watch some of The Originals and relax for the rest of the night. I may post again tomorrow or later this weekend. Not sure when I will post but keep an eye out for another post soon.

Happy Sunday!

Happy Memorial Day weekend! In the US we have Memorial Day to celebrate all veterans and soldiers, it's tomorrow.

I just wanted to write a quick post, things are ok and doing a lot of dancing. I am also knitting a lot too. Just kinda stuck on the pattern but will figure it out.

Wow, I am very sleepy right now so I may get some sleep soon. Not much else is new at the moment, just home relaxing and knitting.

Knitting

I finally did some knitting tonight!! I have not done that in awhile. The eye infection has made me tired so I have been in bed earlier plus I have taken time to watch movies or shows and take time for myself.

I also have been struggling since Saturday, not sure why but I have so I need to take a break and knitting tonight felt great!

A baby blanket has been started and started on panel 1. I did try to add more when I started but I confused myself so I did what the pattern said for casting on. So far it’s going well with panel one of the baby blanket.

Now I need slee, I am falling asleep as I wrote this.

Friday Happy Day!

Hello and happy Friday! I’m doing great and I hope you are too!

I’m relaxing and updating my stash on Ravelry which is a site for anyone who works with yarn or fiber. Go check it out, you may find projects or patterns there that you would like.

Also I am trying to figure out what I have for yarn and use it up before getting more but I may get more to make a baby blanket for friends of mine who is expecting this July! 

I did ask and said I would use either 100% acrylic or cotton yarn so need to look at yarn. These two types of yarn can be washed and dried which will be great for a baby blanket.

So besides buying yarn for the baby blanket, my plan is to not buy yarn til I use what I have. Let’s hope this works, lol.

Also, I am a knitter but my other hobby is collecting yarn. It seems weird but there is yarn 🧶 out there that is beautifully colored and if I want it. Some yarn is cheap and some is expensive but sometimes I give in and buy expensive yarn.

Tomorrow when I stream on twitch, I will be making dishcloths and using 100% cotton yarn. Now to look for yarn to order and make the baby blanket. Hoping to get it maybe before the due date of the baby.

Happy Thursday Funday!

Hello and Happy Thursday!!! I hope everyone is well today and hopefully the weather is beautiful for you wherever you are.

I'm feeling good but I just did some Just Dance on youtube so I got a short workout in and had fun dancing. It's a great way to exercise or do Zumba, I should look for Zumba videos too.

Things have been good, I have been watching a lot of Netflix and Hulu lately. I would watch streamers on Twitch but sometimes so many people are on it buffers for me so I watch other things instead.

I have been streaming my knitting and raising money this month for St. Jude. Fundraising is slow but going well and I am happy with it, next month I will fundraise for Extra Life.

Not much else is new, my order from Expression Fiber Arts has shipped and I can work on a cardigan with that yarn. I have decided on working on a different project every week for streams and I need to clean and see what I have for yarn. I need to use up the yarn I have before getting any more.

I love knitting but collecting yarn is a side hobby, lol.

Bills are paid for now which is good, need to save for car insurance, and for the next car loan payment.

Life is good and I like where I am at right now, some days are not so great and some days are.

I think that is it for now, not much else going on and doing laundry today which I need to check soon.

Windy Day

Today is so windy out and that makes the house colder, well upstairs is colder. Anyways besides windy weather, things are going great today and the sun came out too!

I streamed knitting and crochet today which went well, may have messed up a few times but its always good to knit and to learn crochet too.

I am hoping to make a baby blanket soon and I may end up knitting the blanket. To be honest, right now, I prefer knitting over crochet but I have been knitting longer. I just need to practice crochet more and I will get better at it.

There is not much else that is new with me right now, I am still out of work with one job but get to be home and binge on Netflix and craft more. I still have my other job and just trying to be more conscious of what I am spending money on.

This pandemic is not fun but I still have a roof over my head, food on the table, clothes and I am able to pay bills, that is a win for me.

I feel like I have more to talk about but can not think of anything right now. Well, I guess I will watch some Netflix and relax, maybe knit later. Maybe I will do another movie night.

Sunday Funday? Relax Day?

Hello and welcome back to "My Life's Writing"

How is everyone today? I hope you are all well and that the sun is out where you are and if not, I hope the weather is decent.

I have been in a mood lately and not sure why either. It could be the stay at home order from the governor and I am just bored and need to get outside or it's my thyroid and it needs to get checked.

Not sure what the cause is for my sad mood but I am trying to stay positive and do things to stay active.

Last night I watched Birds of Prey, it was good and will watch it again later today (rented it), wasn't sure I would like it so rented it instead. Also splurged on movies too which I was trying to save and that didn't happen, bought 3 movies so need to not spend for maybe 2 weeks unless it's bills.

Maybe I can do that, not spend. May need to try a week and only spend on essential items like food and gas (don't really need gas), I think trying for a week would be a good start and then try for 2 weeks.

You will hear if I spend on anything else besides essentials items, I will update on Sunday and will let you know how it goes.  I would like to buy a game for my switch but I should wait, want to get Splatoon in a few weeks.

So bills will be paid, I will make notes on my computer. I have a notepad and I can keep track on that and it can transfer to my phone, (apple) maybe there is an app I can track with. Will look into it.

Not much else going on, just catching up on shows on Netflix and taking some time away from Twitch. I stream my knitting and have a schedule, watch other streamers and sometimes just take a break from it too.

I like having some time to myself and with being home so much, feels like I don't get enough time to myself. I like being home and can work from home but I want to get back to work and socialize.

Other than all this, life is good and bills are paid so I am good except the sadness.

I am trying to drink 8 glasses of water (16oz each) during the day, think one glass of water every hour would be good and so far, doing good with it.

Update Time! The Sun is Out today!!!

This update will be done in between online school, I help my niece but feel like updating. So right now my niece has English class so be right back.

Not much is new with me, been home from work which is nice but crappy at the same time. Hopefully, soon I will get to go back to work and get outside more.

I don't mind being home because I can binge watch Netflix and I play a lot of Animal Crossing New Horizon and yes I do a workout while at home.  I also continue to knit and have taught myself to crochet.

Now to find an easy crochet pattern to try, it's not easy but I would like to crochet a scarf maybe. I can always try even with a simple crochet stitch. I watched a video on youtube and that is how I learned.

How are all of you that read about my life? I hope you are well and if you live ina country where you need to stay home or distance yourself, I hope it's going well for you. It's not fun being home but it's nice to get more sleep at night.

I do limit my going out, I only go to the store once a week for the essential items and that is usually on Fridays. I stream my knitting 4 days a week and Fridays I take off so I can go to the store in the morning then come home and relax.

I started a baby blanket this week, not sure when I will finish it but going to try to finish it by June at the latest.

Not much else is coming to mind, just trying to stay sane and not let things get to me. It's hard but trying to remain positive. It's also a challenge being home more and trying to spend less and wisely.  Since being home, I have to watch what I spend so bills are always first then put some money aside and then spend on food.

I think it's good to be home and spend less, it's a challenge but I welcome the challenge.

The sun is out today, it's cooler outside but yesterday it rained all day so I welcome the sun. I may go outside today but not sure what today will bring. Let's hope good things happen today.

That is my news, for now, not sure when I will update again but maybe soon. Some days I feel like an awful person and it comes out of nowhere. So please keep an eye out for my next post and thank you for reading about my life shenanigans.

Time for Relaxing While at Home

Hello everyone!!! It has been just over 2 weeks since I last posted. If you are wondering why I needed to take a step back and work on my mental health. I was very unhappy nd depressed so I needed to step back and work on me.

There is nothing wrong with taking time for yourself, make time for self-care too. I have made time for "me time" and may watcha show or movie or listen to music. It can be anything and it's very important to take time for yourself.

Well since my last post, my state has issued a "stay at home" order but people can go out to get the essentials at grocery stores.

I am slowly adjusting to being home, I was laid off from one job over a week ago. It's weird to be home but there are some benefits to being home. Some benefits are; getting more sleep, can be in pjs all day (if I want), not spend as much, and binging on Netflix and being able to stream my knitting more.

I can work my home healthcare job which is my second job and yes I am careful when I do that. I wear all necessary protective gear and wash once I get home. I don't want to spread germs to any family member.

If I have to go out, its like a ghost town when there are normally more cars out on the road. It's different and kinda scary at the same time.

The good things about being home, I am not spending as much which is good. I still have bills to pay and I am thankful that I can work and still have some income. Bills come first then if I want I may buy a season of a tv show or get a movie on iTunes. I am working on spacing out shows when watching them.

Not much is new with me besides all that, I am doing better and I love streaming my knitting. I also downloaded Animal Crossing: New Leaf Amiiboo for my Nintendo 3DS and I LOVE it!!!

I am still saving up for a switch so New Leaf will hold me over and the switch is selling like hot cakes! I can wait and save up. I am loving my old version of Animal Crossing and have been putting in a lot of time since I started playing yesterday.

The 3DS is charging right now so I am taking a break but I think I will put a timer on and maybe play games for an hour then stretch and move around. Sitting too long is not a good thing.

Oh yea, I am trying to drink less soda. I know this has nothing to do with anything I am writing about but wanted to share. I have had some grape juice this past week, I know my family or I have cranberry juice too.

Now I know juice is not super healthy either but I am trying to drink less soda, more water, and some juice. The juice is not cheap but its a work in progress.

A Windy Night

Well I can say it’s quite windy outside right now, the wind is howling and whistling at times beckoning me to go out and experience mother nature’s beautiful wind.


It may be almost 9:45pm my time but it was not windy when I got out of work today. It was cloudy and warm but with a hint of rain still in the clouds.


Traffic was light as I crossed the street to the parking lot to where I parked. I get into my car and realize I need gas, tomorrow is a better day for it.


As I drive out of the parking lot, my eyes burn but only because my body decided to wake up early and I got out of work late.

Weekly Update; A Day Late

Sorry, I did not update yesterday, I don't know why I didn't.

The past week has been up and down, feet hurting and just working in between my free time. I have today off from one job which is great and I was able to stream all weekend too! It may have been only a few hours or more but I am happy I streamed.

Today's stream, I started a new project and love it! Streamed for 3 hours and had fun even if no one was watching. I had music playing and that made it better.

I am ready for a nap at the moment.

So for the past week, work has been good. I also have been trying to cope with my emotions and not sure why I had down moments. Sometimes it would just hit me and I had no energy to do anything. I wanted to cry at times for no reason and even though this was happening, I tried to figure out why I wanted to cry.

I still have not figured out why I want to cry, it's a work in progress.

On a good note, I have been happier and been more positive. This is good because I realized the other day how bitchy I had been for quite some time and it was like "have I really been like this?"

It's crazy to think how negative I was and it took one person to tell me and now I see what they mean. Since not talking to this person I have been working on myself, going to therapy and doing much better.

Will I ever talk tot he person again? I am not sure, if I do talk to them I will say thank you because it helped me get on a better path.

Not much else is new with me, just working and paying bills. I bought my ticket for Stitches United next month which is a yarn convention and I am looking forward to it. I will have to see if anyone else is going to this event from the crafting community and maybe do a meetup.

Well, going to work on a new knitting project and maybe watch a movie, Twitch is acting up for me so a movie or Netflix will do.

Happy Sunday Morning!

Hello and Happy Sunday Morning!

The weekend is almost over but it has been a great weekend for me. I hope all of you are doing well wherever you are in the world and that life is going well too.

The week has gone by fast but I love when it's Wednesday and then Friday comes along, I have said this before and I will say it again, I love FRIDAY!!!! Never have I ever looked more forward to Friday until this new job.

Now to update my fun week. Work went well, a little stressful but any job can be stressful. This new job is still going well and I am happy to be there. It's rough getting up in the morning but worth it. Also, I can sign up for benefits soon with this job and I have a 3day weekend coming up this awesome month!!!

I signed up for Sock Madness online on Ravelry. It's my first year and hopefully, I can knit a pair of socks and see how far I get in the competition. I may not get far and that is ok because I just want to knit a pair of socks. I ordered the knitting needles and may need a bigger loop needle so I may order that too once I am done writing this.

Things, in general, have been good outside of work too and I did my first 5k race of 2020 in 22-degree weather! I felt great after the race and it was for charity too. Its the Red Cap Run and there is an option for walkers. I bought merchandise which also helps the funds raised for the family.









I am proud of myself for going out in cold weather and walking 3.1 miles and I'm happy to help raise money for a family in need.

I did want to see my friend over the weekend but decided to take the weekend and just relax. I love my friend and we can always hang out another time. I knew I was going to be tired yesterday and sometimes taking time for yourself is a needed thing. I need "me time" which is this weekend.

Lately, I have noticed that I watch a lot of streamers a lot, this may not be good for me and I need time for myself so I am taking a step back from watching streamers because if I don't it's not good for me.

I love watching and supporting people who stream but maybe it's affecting me in a bad way lately so it may be time to step back and lurk or just watch when I am feeling good. It is interesting how things affect me but good that I notice and still doing therapy.

Also, I have been feeling good and spreading positivity (I hope), I am working on me and loving me so its a long road.

I think that is all I have, for now, not much else going on in my life. Things are good at the moment and I am happy. Maybe Sushi and I can go see a movie next weekend.....hmmm?

So we have come to the end of the post, I will edit to include a few photos from the 5k walk.

It's Super Bowl!!

Hell and Happy Sunday!!! and happy Super Bowl Sunday!!!!

A lot has happened in the week, I have. made bad decisions and good decisions. I made my bed and I need to accept what happened that was made on bad decisions.

The good decision I made was to enter therapy, I was a hot mess this past week and I need help in some way so I decided to start therapy and learn to love myself, stop comparing myself to others and I want to be more positive.

After talking to a therapist, I feel a lot better and have come to terms with the bad decisions I made. I am doing much better now and I have a long road ahead of me. It may take a while and I am willing to put the work in.

Let's see what else..... Work is still going great and Friday was non stop but fun and I now look forward to Fridays which has not happened in a long time! I love it when it's Wednesday and then Friday comes along and I am excited for the weekend. I may not make plans or anything but I love to relax.

I still stream my knitting but sticking to just Saturdays which works best for me and I had a long stream yesterday and I had so much fun! I got a raid at the same time I hosted someone. It's all good but I am happy and the stream was fun and that is all that matters.

This weekend I have been relaxing, knitting and watching movies I rented off of iTunes. I watched Batman V Superman last night and stayed up till rare midnight but the movie was sooooo good! I will have to buy it maybe this coming week.

Another decision I made was to wait on getting a Nintendo Switch. I have the money set aside for it but with everything that happened, I think it's best to wait. The rest of my goals have been going great so far and that is good.

You can always change goals or how long you want to work on a goal, I don't need a switch right now so I put it on the long term goal list for now.

I forgot to cancel my sncakcrate and got that in the mail. I really need to look at finances and see what I can cut back on. Snack crate may go even though I love getting it. I got Ireland this month and will bring it with me to a friend's house tonight when I go over fo Super Bowl.

So in the US, we have Super Bowl Sunday which is today, I was invited out and I will be going to a party. I haven't spent time with people in a long time and that may be part of my problem, not seeing friends. So tonight I get to spend time with people and I need to get out more.

I rarely watch football but it's fun to be around good people.

I think that is it, been having some anxiety but finding ways to keep it at a minimum plus letting go of stuff. It's not easy but things are getting better.

Being Sick, Taking Time Off to Rest

Hello and good morning everyone!

I hope you are feeling better than me, I have a sinus infection which most people know already. My nose is swollen and it hurts but the good news is I have medicine and I have started taking it and hope it works well and that I won't have to go back to the doctor.

I am staying home from church today and I took the weekend off from streaming due to health reasons. It feels good to take some time off and I hate this sinus infection too.

Friday night I went to see Jeff Dunham live which was fun even with this infection, I had a great time with family. My niece didn't seem too interested in it and wanted to come home halfway through the show.

We got home late Friday night and we all went to bed right after getting home, which I was very tired. Yesterday I didn't go anywhere but the store to get medicine and came home. I watched some streamers on twitch and did some knitting but not a lot.

I even went to bed early last night which I usually stay up til about 11:30pm so when I go to bed early it's not normal and that means I am sick.

Today I am staying home, my nose really hurts and yes I took Tylenol to help with the pain for now. I am going to try and knit some today but will see what happens, I may not do anything today because of my nose.

I don't have much else to say, maybe I will update later in the week but will not make any promises. Just keep an eye out on posts if you would like too.

Lots to Share!

Good morning!!!

I am excited and have so much to share with all of you! I'm about to burst with all this news!

Well first is I streamed today! I woke up early which I didn't want to do but I did so why not stream? I only updated twitter and people still came even if they lurked. I made more progress on the shawl today which is great and it's going much better the second time around.

I took the shawl apart yesterday after messing up so I took it apart and re-wound the yarn into a yarn ball and started over again. yesterday I knitted for 4 hours! I did stop after because my hands were tired.




I enjoyed stream today, chatted with people, gained new followers and listened to my Enya playlist. It was a laid back stream and relaxing music. Also, I can add quotes when streaming!!! It's very exciting that I can do that.

In other news, I was asked to knit something for another twitch streamer and I am just waiting for the yarn to arrive so I can start knitting the blanket and I found a great pattern today! That will be my next project.

After taking a break from streaming and working on my mental health and now just streaming one day a week is really good for me. I streamed 2 days this week but honestly streaming one day works great for me.

I think I was putting too much pressure on myself to stream and burnt out, one day or two days of streaming work much better for me and I like it. If I could add another day in for streaming I would consider it. For now, I will be streaming one day a week.

I need to think of channel point rewards too, I disabled that on my stream channel because I didn't know what to add for rewards so I need to think of some rewards. One reward would be you can choose a color of yarn and I will knit with it to make a scarf for Warm Up America. Make a multi-color scarf.

I get to knit and people can choose colors, just need to get the yarn and no I won't go crazy on yarn shopping.

Work was good this week, I think I had one bad day maybe? I don't remember but the week went by and now the weekend is almost over. The good news about the jobs is I get to stay busy and I like it.

Yesterday I got my hair done but I also put more than 6 weeks in between color and cut so it felt great to get my hair done. Sometimes you need to treat yourself.

We did get snow where I live and the sun is shining at the moment. I will be working on the shawl today while doing laundry and figuring out what to make for my work lunch tomorrow.

I think I am missing stuff, it feels like I had more to say but nothing is coming to mind. If I think of it, I will write it down and save it for next Sunday.

Another Cold, Bitter Sunday

I did not write anything to copy and paste today which is ok.

Another Sunday and another weekly update but today is not going so great for me mentally. I'm not sure why I feel this way but it's how I am feeling and just trying to make it through the day.

The week went by fast and the weekend is almost over, it's cold and very windy outside today and I think we are getting snow maybe. I have not listened to the weather ort looked.

During the past week, I have felt left out of people's lives. I have also looked beyond that and try to turn that negative into a positive. It's not always easy and to be honest, I may need to take a day for myself and do what I want or watch some Netflix and get caught on shows I watch.

This past week has been good and had some bad times. I feel like I am not good enough for people or for one person. I could be overthinking all of this too. No matter how I try, I'm just never good enough and it sucks but I push through every day and still live.

I can tell you I do think I am better off 6 feet under. You may be thinking "what is she saying?" I do think that I would be better off 6 feet under and everyone would be better off without me around.

Most people never want me around and don't invite me out. Yes, this goes both ways, I have tried before with a friend but they think they know what is best for me. They never ask me what is going, don't communicate with me very often even though I do try.

It can be frustrating and it shouldn't matter if you are good at responding or not, at least respond with something and please don't assume you know everything about me either. That is frustrating when a friend tells me "they think I need space", you don't know what someone needs unless you ask them.

I shouldn't rant but needed to get that out.

Also, everyone does work and has lives outside of work or may just be busy so yes that is understandable and I take that into account.

I signed up to raise money for charity and was going to have a layout made but thought better not do it.

Before this post gets anymore sad, I am just going to end it here.

A New Year

It’s a New Year! 

I’m not happy even though it’s a new year and I’m not sure why that is. I didn’t mind staying in last night because I had no plans to even go out but felt very neglected by people. It’s a happy/sad feeling for last night and today.

Not sure why I fell this way but I do. 

Well for 2020, I made goals instead of a new year’s resolution. There will be small goals, midway goals, and long term goals.

The small goals are to save extra money for the car payment to get ahead on that. I also want to buy a switch (maybe this month) depending on bills. I want to go to the gym on my days off.

The small goals are 1-5 months long, midway goals are June/July and long term goals are to be reached by December.

Hopefully, I can cross off all goals but it will be fun to see how far I get. I should start another 52-week money challenge! What is that you ask? 

The 52-week money challenge is to put money aside every week. For example; week 1 is $1, week 5 is $5 and so on. At the end of 52 weeks, you should have $1378.00 saved up. I will see if I can add an image so you can see what I am talking about.

I just googled 52-week money challenge and there are many out there, you can do $1 a week or do $5 a week if you want, do what you can afford. Put the money in the bank or get the app called “tip yourself”. I use this app to put money aside and it helped me save to get this Apple MacBook Air which took a year of saving to get.



Also, I want to lose some weight and be healthier mentally and physically so that will be a big challenge for me. I did weigh myself and gained almost 2lbs from last week but it’s ok, today is a new day to start over.

I will update not he healthier journey and let you folks know how it’s going. I may update more than once a week or I will try to keep it to once a week.

Alright, I have rambled on long enough, will try to update once a week. If you see my post says “Wednesday, Friday, or any other day” I write in my notes app then copy and paste. This way you can see my progress on how I am feeling mentally and how I am doing in general.
