Late Update

As I get ready for bed, I decided to post. I need to work on posting more on this blog.

Anyways, things are good right now and I’m doing ok. Just need to worry about bills and saving money for my car inspection, tires and registration. I may wait til the end of the month to do inspection.

I went to a craft fair yesterday and bought donuts and a female Viking gnome and her name is Isabella.

It was fun and I love Isabella the Viking gnome. Hopefully I can get another gnome so she can have a friend.

I'm Slacking!

 I'm slacking but not a lot, I had the holiday off and splurged on one thing for myself. I bought a soda stream online and will get it next week, I bought this because I like carbonated water and I need to look at flavors or what I can do to add flavor.


Not much is new, I am relaxing and may go to the store with my grampa tomorrow to help him. 

Everything else is going well and I am happy. That is all I have for now but hope to post a bit more in the next few weeks.

Way Behind on Things!

 Hello, long time no see! Crazy it has been since I have not posted in the last few months. Sometimes or well most of the time, I forget I can write in here as well.


Things are good and I start some part-time work on Monday which is great! I'm excited to get out of the house more and talk to people.

My stomach is growling even though I had breakfast, crazy but guesses I need a mid-morning snack.

I am going downstairs soon to cook turkey bacon, I will be making a chicken bacon ranch pasta salad on Monday and want to cook the turkey bacon ahead of time. I always thought turkey bacon would not taste good when I worked at a college cafeteria but I was wrong, it's not bad at all and I love it. 

Now I buy Turkey bacon and love cooking it and having it with meals, think it will go good on a tuna sandwich today.

Cinnamon and Sugar Popcorn

 Hello and happy Tuesday! I hope all of you are well and having a great week so far. My week has been ok so far and today I made popcorn and added some Cinnamon and Sugar to the popcorn.


You are probably wondering why I am talking about this. Since the first of the year, I have been working on my health and wellness journey. I started working out and logging food and losing some weight, my mental health had a great boost and I was happy.

I don't work out as often but I look for new foods or recipes and try new things. An online friend suggested popcorn because I had said I wanted junk food and popcorn is lower in calories when it is plain. 

You can add seasoning to the popcorn and give it some flavor so, I looked online and found a few ways to dress up popcorn. I don't mind plain popcorn but it would need some flavor.

Today I made a small batch of popcorn, I have a popcorn container from the Pampered chef that you can use in the microwave to pop the popcorn, used a small amount of olive oil, and put the microwave on for 4 minutes.

After the popcorn was done, I took it out of the microwave and added cinnamon and sugar while tossing (shaking) it up. I only used 2 teaspoonfuls of cinnamon and sugar.

This was a great item to buy and I love using it! You can wash it and reuse it again.

Some Knitting and Cleaning Today

Good morning to all you beautiful people!! Happy Friday or Saturday! 

I’m doing a little cleaning before I go back to sleep, I work a short morning shift and I’m still tired.

Things are good and life is good. I have been posting recipes on my other blog, made a few of them, and have been knitting. 

Going to start another pattern today for knitting and will only keep it to 2 projects for now. Sometimes I like to start more and I don’t want to do that.

Also need to use up my yarn stash before buying any more yarn.

I don’t think there is anything else to share with you folks, I think I covered everything.

Now I need to clean out my smart garden (grows salad greens and basil) then a short nap and do some knitting.

Dishes Done! Now to Knit!

 Hello to everyone! I hope all of you are well today and I hope that the week is going well fr you.

I just did some dishes,  not all of them are done but let the ones I did wash, dry. I also made ramen noodles for my lunch for tomorrow.


I have been looking at meal prep videos to get some inspiration and I have been using bento boxes for my lunches while I am home during the day. I love bento boxes!!!

Tomorrow I will have ramen noodles in chicken broth, thin-sliced pork chops, and need to figure out a vegetable and maybe a small snack. The ramen noodles I got from the grocery store were in the Asian aisle and it was a miso soup with ramen noodles.

I am not a fan of miso soup and yes I have tried it, just don't like it. I like the noodles and cooked those instead. Just need to cook the pork chops tomorrow and figure out the vegetable and make black bean corn salsa salad.

Grocery day is Thursday and I am sticking to a budget when going, I did add apples but I may go apple picking this weekend after giving blood. Don't worry, I will load up on snacks and plenty of water.

Cortlands are almost ready and they are my favourite apple and I would love some apples with almond butter.


Now that I have ranted on long enough, I need to find something to watch and work on my knitting project.

I Keep Thinking It's Thursday

 Good morning folks and happy Wednesday! I keep thinking it is Thursday and I am not sure why.

I have music playing as I type this and it's putting me in a great mood, today is going great so far and I have a few things to get done.

Today's goals are to knit on the second baby blanket and get more length, fold laundry, and meal plan meals for the rest of the week. I am running out of ideas but will look online for inspiration for lunches. Breakfast is easy to plan for the most part, it's either eggs or cereal, or toast.


I am using an app to help with meal planning and I love it, I plan to pay for it after my free trial ends. This app called, "Plan to Eat", is worth the money and you can play snacks out too, import recipes of your own or from the web.

So, today's goals need to be accomplished by dinner time. I'm hoping to get this done and stick to a routine (helpful for me).

Not much else is new, things are good, and will try to update more. I have been posting on my review page with recipes to inspire other folks for meals. It's fun and I enjoy sharing recipes.

It's Thursday!!!

 Hello and happy Thursday folks! I am alive and well in case you are wondering where have I been?

Not much is going on even though restrictions in my town have been lifted for COVID which is nice. I don't mind staying at home because I like to knit and binge-watch Netflix. Getting out for walks has been on the back burner for now, hopefully, I can slowly ease back into walking.


I am home with a family right now and I really want some peace and quiet but that is not happening. Things are good and got some dishes washed. 

Meal prep is my new thing and I love it! I found an app (don't remember how I stumbled onto this) that helps me plans meals out for breakfast and lunch. I don't plan dinner because my grandfather cooks dinner for everyone.

Meal prep has helped me a lot and I love that I can add in snacks too. This app is great and this way I don't have to figure out what to make for lunch the day of. I love it, sadly the free trial is 30 days then you have to pay or don't use the app. I will decide before my free trial is up on what I plan to do.

Not much else is new with me, I am just knitting and watching movies/tv shows and relaxing.

Happy Tuesday!

I feel great today so I'm going to write in here. Good morning 🌞 and Happy Tuesday! Tomorrow is weigh-in day and am excited to see where I am at with my weight.

Everything is good right now and paying off some bills fees fantastic! My goal is to pay off my credit cards and not use them as much. 

Yesterday, I went for a long walk. I walked over 4 miles (training for a 13k) and I did great. I walked the miles in 1 hour and 16 minutes which is good for me.

I may stick to the route I had mapped out and work on 4 miles for the rest of the month and work my way up to 8 miles. I will probably add a mile on in April and keep adding til I can walk the 8 miles (13k).

So now I just need new workout clothes and figure out what t carry on the of the race. I will need to replenish what I burn fr calories.

Other than that, I'm going read today and do laundry and knit.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Also Weigh-In Day

Today is St. Patrick’s Day and I am home and celebrating with Corned Beef, Cabbage, veggies, and good family.

Today is also weigh-in day too and I have exciting news!!!

Last week I made a goal to get below 190lbs. I didn't think I could do it and some days I did not eat well. I was a little worried.

Last weeks weight was 191lbs, this week, my right is....... 188.6lbs!!! I made it below 190! I'm excited 😁

Also, my body fat is down only 0.1%, hips are down a little bit (I'm in the 43” area now) was 44. My waist stayed the same which is ok.

I feel great and I'm happy with my right loss journey. It's not easy but it's worth it.

Life has been great, I got outside for a 5k and did that in 56mins. Training has started for 13k in May. 

I have been knitting as working out, I have been over bad at logging food so working on that this week.

A Day Late, A Recipe and Great News!

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I did not post yesterday, there is no excuse! 

I will post a pic of my measurements and I did lose weight this past week too which is good. 

As you can see, I lost 1.5lbs this past week! I did not think I would lose that much and I usually aim to lose a pound r two every week, if I don't lose the weight it's ok.  Hips are down 1/4", waist is down 3/4", everything else is normal. 

My body fat went up this time and that fluctuates a lot.  I use an app that tracks chest, bust, upper arm, below the elbow, waist/hips, thigh, and calf measurements. 

Overall I am doing great, I have lost 1 14/16" overall, down 1.5 pounds, body fat is up by 0.2% and, BMI is down by 0.2. So it has been a good week, now to make a goal for next week.

Can I get to 189lbs? Check back next week and see if I can do it. 


I finally got to plot out a route for my virtual 13k in May so I will be walking a lot more depending on the weather. Hopefully, it's not too cold out so I can start soon.

I do have a recipe for you folks, it's not healthy but if you are looking for something to have while binge-watching Netflix, Hulu, or whatever you decide to watch, this is a great idea to have and to make.

Pull-Apart Crescent Meatball Sliders! It looks so good! I want to try this someday.

Things have been good lately and I'm still happy with my health journey. It's been slow-moving on the weight but I am happy with my progress overall.

It’s Sunday!

Hello and happy Sunday! 

I really debated about doing my workout today and glad I did it. I really wanted to be lazy but I feel great after my workout and my legs can feel it too, lol.

Doing the RingFit adventure and there were a lot of squats in today’s workout but it boasted my mental health and I’m happy with everything.

There is some news, I stopped taking the fat burner that I was taking and we get to see on Wednesday how that affects my weight and see if I can lose weight without it.

I have a lot of body fat on me and would love to get that down but it’s tough and maybe the fat burner helps some.

I did order a pre-workout drink mix and it makes me tingle when I take it. Not sure if this is normal or just a reaction. However, I do plan to use it up since I bought it and will not order it again.

Yes, I emailed the company asking about it and have not heard back for about 2 weeks. They may be busy or just don’t plan to answer so I need to do what I think is best.

I’m waiting for my lunch to cook which is in the oven at the moment. Making chicken, kale chips, and having some French fries, yes I know fries are not healthy but I did a portion size and I love kale chips!!

It’s Wednesday! And Weigh-In Day

Hello and good morning everyone!!!  I hope everyone is doing well today and hope your week is going good so far.

Today is weigh-in day and I’m not discouraged with the numbers.

My weight today is 192.5lbs which means I gained +0.7lbs. I’m okay with gaining and I did not eat very well for a few days. Some days you want all the bad foods and that happened to me these last few days.

There is some good news too, my waist has been at 44 1/2” and today it’s down to 42 3/4”!!! I didn’t think I would see my waist go down that much but it’s awesome.

My body fat and hips stayed the same this week and I’m happy about it.

Also, my mental health has hit a few snags but overall, I am doing good. I still workout and I did rest this last weekend. 

I would like to reach 180lbs by the end of July 2021, not sure I can get there but I will try! 

So, I am happy with everything today, yes even the weight gain. With any journey, you may face setbacks or obstacles or anything that may stop you for a bit. It’s ok, tomorrow is a new day and you can start fresh.

Late Weigh-In Day Update

Sorry, this post is late, I need to start putting reminders in my calendar to write the post and post it.

Good news! Yesterday I weighed myself and I am down 1.9lbs!!! I didn’t think I was going to lose any weight because I ate Oreos on Tuesday night and had milk too. 

Working out has been going well and did a long workout yesterday but I felt great after.

Also, my waist/hip measurements are down 3/4” which is awesome! My body fat went up by 0.1% which is ok with me. Body fat fluctuates with me and that is tough to get down.

Overall, I am happy with my progress so far and I skipped several weeks of my factor_ meal delivery due to finances and just want to get ahead on bills. After I save some money, maybe I can start the factor_ meals again (they are very tasty)

Let’s hope I can add pics to this post on my computer.

I went for a walk today too and it's Friday and not yesterday, lol.



Now I can't make my lines straight, oh well.  Today the sun was out and the weather was not bad at all. It was a little chilly but overall it was beautiful outside today.

So, you can see in 56 minutes I almost did 3 miles which is pretty good considering it's February.
This weekend or on Monday, we are getting very cold weather and I am not sure when I will get outside again but I will take what I can get for the weather.

Now I am going to go and I may post some links over the weekend, I get recipes emailed to me and you can try them or alter them however you would like and give them a try.

It’s Monday!

Good morning and happy Monday!!! Sadly, it’s dreary out today but we are getting snow later (not looking forward to it). 

Things are good, can’t post pics and I have been making sure the apps are up to date. Now to find another way to post pics in my posts 😊

Not much is new, most bills are caught up for the month and need to work on next month. Oh, I forgot! I am working on saving money and my goal is next December 2022, I want to save about $5,000 and hope to reach that goal.

So far, saving the money has started and I am keeping track, maybe I should use my other app so I won’t use the money and no fees will be taken out 🧐

I think I will do that, I was saving $52 a week and only started last week but I will take out $60 and just do that and use my other app. This way I don’t touch the money I am trying to save and still pay bills.

By paying my bills early and hopefully some extra, it would be good. I want to pay down credit cards and pay a little extra on my car loan.

It’s the year to make things better for myself and my future.

Today is Weigh-In Day!

Today is awesome so far and it’s weigh-in day! 

Last week I weighed 196.5lbs and I had gained weight back. I was not discouraged in anyway because I don’t eat properly a d made some bad food choices. It happens and I was happy mentally with life so everything was good.

This week I weigh 193.6lbs! I’m down 2.9lbs which is great and I worked hard at making better choices too. If you put the work in, you will see results even if it takes a long time.

I’m happy mentally and physically with myself and that is saying a lot. I used to be unhappy with a lot of things in life from weight to my body and friends.

Now, since starting my health journey, I am happy with a lot more in my life and I love working out. 

Hips are the same in measurements (44 1/2 inches) but waist is down in inches. My waist is 44 1/2 inches and last week it was 45 inches.

My progress is small but for me that is what works and as long as I am happy, I like the small improvements.

Weigh-In Day and Maybe Splurge this Weekend?

Hey everyone, how are you? I’m ok, not 100% today but I’m doing ok.

Today is weigh-in day and I gained 3 pounds back this week, I’m okay with it too. Normally I would not be okay with gaining but it could be from what I ate to maybe putting on muscle, not sure which.

My measurements were down very little too so I think it’s because of what I ate. I haven’t logged my food at all so that could also be a factor.

Today and this week is brand new and I’m going to try and log all my food that I eat. Working out is going well, I shoveled snow today and got rid of snow banks so that was fun (not really). Still it’s a workout.

Still doing my RingFit Adventure which I love and sometimes I do that for about an hour. It’s great, everything else is good too.

So I need to log food I have eaten so far today, I didn’t log two snacks so need to do that.

Tomorrow is a new day, need to pay a bill and go to the grocery store. Already made a list and as long as I stick to it, I will be good. I need snacks too, hopefully something healthy.

It’s not easy to give up snacking but will see what I can find.

Frustrated

I’m so frustrated right now, I hate being like this too and it’s over stupid stuff. I’m also stressed out over bills, I’m not behind or anything but still stressed.

The phone and wifi are already paid which is good, next is car insurance, car loan and then credit cards. I only have 3 cards and one is for dental work and I need to work on paying them down.

I work one job which is nice but honestly, any extra money would be good right now.

Everything will work out, I just need to relax and plan out the bills. Once all the bills are planned, everything will be ok. No shopping for awhile. I may have to skip a month of Factor meals.

I love the Factor meals I have been getting but sometimes you have to make sacrifices in order to pay down bills. I’m ok with giving up Factor meals, takeout, and yarn so I can pay down my credit cards.

Feeling Better

Lately, my life has been a roller coaster and I had been stressed out mentally. Good news out of this is I’m doing better.

Today I did my workout and it feels great! The last 48 hours I didn’t workout at all and I was really down on myself. 

Also, I would like to work on losing another pound or two by next Wednesday. Will see how I do.

The last few dentist visits have been good, expensive but good. I’m tired but better and I wanted to update on what was going on.

It's Weigh-In Day!

 I am stressed out, nearly had a mental breakdown this morning, and trying to relax at this very moment. In other good news, it's weigh-in day!


Today's results are:

Weight; 193.1 down 2lbs from last week :)

Body Fat: 45.3 down 0.2% from last week

Hips: 44 1/2 inches (this stayed the same from last week)

Waist: 45 inches down 3/16(?) from last week (45 3/16inches)

Since starting my health journey and trying to be more active and eat better, I have lost a total of 5.6lbs!!!! 

The hard work is paying off! 

Today is a setback but I needed to just rest today and hopefully, soon I can get back into my workouts. My grandfather is in the hospital and I think with being home to help my niece, I am very stressed out which is not normal for me. 

I did get to take a nap today and I feel better but I am sure I will be stressed again tomorrow so not sure if I will get a workout in or not. 

Things are good otherwise and I did receive week 2 of Factor_ meals today. May eat one tomorrow or start eating them on Friday. Not sure what I got, I can pick for next week too.

It’s Weigh-In Day! Plus Factor Meals

Today is weigh-in day and I’m excited to see how my body responded to all the exercise and how I ate. I did log all food this week so far. 

Here is how I did this week;

Weight: 195.1lbs down 2.6lbs, last week I weighed 197.7

Hips: 44 1/2 inches, last week it was 44 14/16 inches so only down a little bit but it’s progress.

Waist: 45 3/16 inches, last week it was 45 1/2 inches, again down a little bit but atill progress.

Body fat is the same as last week, 45.5. 

So far I have been doing great, I feel great too and my health journey is going good so far this week.

I bought 4 meals from Factor_, which is an online meal delivery. You can customize it to a certain diet if you want. Also this works great if you are on a time crunch too and can’t cook.

My meals were deliver yesterday and I will have one for lunch today 😊

I have lemon pancakes and I may save that for Friday morning. They sound yummy so I look forward to that.

Late Weigh-In Day and News

Hello everyone! I am late with my weigh-in day but I will work on being better about posting about my health journey.


Weigh-in day is every Wednesday and even if I don't see big numbers, I am ok with that. Working out and trying to eat better has helped me be happier and I am working on being more positive. My weight may not change and maybe I hit a plateau but it's ok.

I was inspired by the Situation (MTV's Jersey Shore) to "live your best life" and I am trying my best to do that. Negative things have been cut out of my life and I am working on positivity, working out, and trying to eat better.

Some days are great, some days will not be so great. I had one day this week where I was really down on myself and even though I did a 30-minute workout, I still felt like crap. The next day I felt better which is a good thing, I still workout, and I feel great.

Down below you see a screenshot of my weigh-in day and I post on Twitter about it every Wednesday, not much of a change but to me, it's a small victory. As long as you are happy even when the numbers don't change, you have won with happiness!




In other news, I signed up for a virtual 13K race in May! I will start training on February 1st. A 13k is just over 8 miles in case anyone was curious. I walked 3.56 miles a week or two ago and I did that in 1hr and 14 mins.

Judging by that, I may be able to do the 13k in 3-4 hours but need to work up my stamina. I'm sure I will face weather challenges but any progress is great progress.

Weigh In Day

Good morning everyone! Today is weigh-in day and that is when I step on the scale to see my weight and I measure my body. I do this once a week so I don’t get discouraged.

Today’s weight is..... 198.7lbs, it’s up by +0.1lb (last week weight was 198.5)

Body fat is... 45.6 and that is down by -0.2% (last week was 45.8)

Waist and hip are the same measurements which are not bad.

No big changes this week and I’m happy with the results I have, it’s the small victories and I have been working out. I’m happy with the progress I have made so far and now I can get ready for the 5k this weekend and hopefully find another virtual 5k to do next month!

Once a week I will post about my weigh-in and let you know my progress.

Working Out, 5K this Weekend

 Hello everyone and how are you? I hope you are well and doing great!


I am trying to lose weight this year and hopefully lose 15lbs. This will be tough but I am going to try. I have been working out with Ring Fit Adventure on the Nintendo Switch which is going very well. I love the Ring Fit Adventure! 

Today was leg day on the Ring Fit and my legs are feeling it. I also have Just Dance 2020 and Zumba so maybe I will switch it up this week. I do have a virtual 5k this weekend and will do that early Saturday morning. Not sure how early I will get up but I will. I weigh in tomorrow and will post about my weight and waist/hip measurements and do that weekly. I will use #weightlossjourney on the post incase you want to keep up.

I feel great after the workouts and not as sad as I have been. Staying home and working from home is nice but I need to get out more and socialize, I miss that part about going to work. 

Sorry had to update Twitter about a new schedule for streaming my knitting and that I did a workout, lol. I also need to work on my knitting too which I will do after I post this entry.


Not much else is new, made a dental appointment, paid some bills and I feel good about paying bills. Maybe I can get ahead for next month soon? Will see how that goes.

Need to knit and find something to watch, my review page is where I post about food and movies/shows I watch. Yes, sometimes I am late on watching shows that everyone else has already seen, it's ok. I like to blog and I will stick with it.

Donating Blood

I donated blood yesterday and even though it took a while, I’m happy to donate.

The Red Cross has to be safe along with people donating and it feels good that I can help someone in need.


Here I am donating blood and took a selfie, I had a face covering because it is required that you do.

Everything was good when donating yesterday and I am happy with the Red Cross people. They were nice and I met a local which was great!

Now I am resting and working on drinking more water since donating. 

Life is good and just trying to live my best life daily.

A New Year!

 I am taking a break from playing Assassin's Creed and I want to move around. 


Happy New Year!

It's another year and I am going to live my best life! Well, at least I will try. 

This week has been good so far, I have been working out, eating more green vegetables and I fried up some kale today and put light salt on it and that was so good! I will have to make more soon.

I am donating blood on Monday so I am trying to eat better, work out more, and just have fun. I did my Ring Fit Adventure today and I am tired but feel great!

Not much else is new with me, Christmas was okay and I have not done much else. 

Family is good, went food shopping for green vegetables today, and came home, made lunch, and took a nap. The workout made me tired and I didn't do a long workout but it feels good.


Will try to post next week.
